Come From Away Artform's 2026 show was a great success and sold out every night.
This amazing show tells of the events of September 11th, 2001, and the days that followed when in the aftermath of the attacks in the USA and the closure of the airspace, Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador became the home of nealy 7,000 people who were travelling on 38 wide body aircraft and found themselves diverted to Gander.
Come from Away is inspired by real people and real events. Here’s a look at the real people who feature in or whom inspire characters in this wonderful show! Captain Beverley Bass was the first female pilot to fly an American Airlines passenger aircraft. She was piloting a flight from Paris to Dallas on the day of the attacks. Her portrayal in the show is an amalgamation of experience of all the pilots grounded in Gander. Her song ““Me and the Sky” is however her own life story. When the planes were being diverted Claude was dealing with a local school bus driver strike. A strike which was postponed to help those arriving on the planes. Claude was a key figure in organising the local support effort for those affected. Working tirelessly for days to orchestrate the efforts of the townsfolk. 'Into the Woods' A new production for 2025 - Part four
For the fourth and final instalment of the series, Matthew talks with and catches up with various members of the cast and throws in a story or two from the tales themselves. With one of the main themes of the show being ‘time’ Matthew asks the various company members what they would change about their past or indeed what they might repeat in order to relive an experience in their life and much more besides. Come join us as we go deeper into the woods.

News Update Artform is currently presenting productions at the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham as the Broadway Theatre in Catford is no longer viable for Artform. We have had the opportunity to try out different performance spaces, and work flexibly to produce varied entertainment, according to the community or audience.
We have started plans on a small scale, and are delighted to have worked with the Corbett Library, Catford in producing a fund-raising one-night-only cabaret.
We are continuing with our podcasts ‘An Afternoon with Artform’, where creatives and performers discuss the challenges and experiences of previous productions.
